The Sadducees existed at the time of Jesus Christ’s ministry on this earth. They were one of 3 religious Jewish sects along with the Pharisees and Herodians. Each of these 3 religious sects are reminders of similar characteristics that are found in religious people today. Unfortunately, the Christian church is full of them. Sadducees represent religious people who are involved with their church. However, they do not understand the Word of God and therefore, fall into false teaching.
