The Parable of the Two Sons reveals important spiritual information. The 2 sons represent the saved and unsaved people in the church today. The first son initially tells his father that he will not work in the vineyard. However, he later repents and goes to work. This first son represents those who were not interested in the kingdom of God, but later repented and became Christians due to the grace of God. The second son is a hypocrite. In fact, he represents a hypocritical leader in the church. He tells his father that he will work in the vineyard, but does not go to work. In the historical context, the first son represents the tax collectors and harlots. The second son represents the chief priests and elders of the church.
