In Revelation 17:5, Babylon is referred to as the Mother of Harlots. But, what does this refer to? And, what does harlotry refer to in the Bible? This title for Babylon is symbolic. It symbolizes that Babylon breeds other children of harlotry. These other harlots refer to the voluminous amount of churches and parachurces that worship other gods and idols.
