What is an Epiphany? This word is used by many to describe some time of revelation or spiritual experience. But, the Bible teaches that Epiphany has very specific meanings. The Greek word transliterated as ‘epiphany’ literally means to ‘shine upon’ or around. In the Bible an epiphany can occur for two reasons. The first is salvation of the Christian. Once saved, Christians are removed from the kingdom of darkness and are shined upon by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The second meaning is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ for His people.
