Deception in the Great Tribulation

One of the features of the Great Tribulation is DECEPTION.  There are many passages in the Bible that warn of false Christs, False Prophets and False Teachers.  These warnings apply throughout the church age, but reach their crescendo in the Great Tribulation since Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit with a primary goal of deceiving the world.  This part of a series of videos and studies detailing what the Great Tribulation is like. The False Prophet is discussed in Revelation 13. This entity is symbolized by a lamb with two horns and speaks as a dragon. There is a Satanic trinity symbolized in the book of Revelation as the dragon (Satan), the Beast (antichrist) and the false prophet. The false prophet’s primary focus is to bring worship To the antichirst (a.k.a., the beast, little horn, king of the north, etc.).  The false prophet seeks to accomplish his goal by three methods:

  1. Signs and wonders (which results in a judgment on those who are deceived)
  2. The making of an image of the beast which is to be worshipped
  3. Not allowing people to ‘buy or sell’ (merchandise) without the mark of the beast, the name of the beast or the number of his name (666)
