The Babylonian Destruction and its Symbolic Meaning

During the Babylonian captivity of Judah, Jerusalem was destroyed in that its walls were broken down and the houses (including the temple of God) was burned with fire.  The destruction of Jerusalem is also described in the Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24Mark 13 and Luke 21, pointing to the ruin of the Christian church during the Great Tribulation.  The Babylonian destruction of Jerusalem has important symbolic truth for the church as it enters into the period of time known as the Great Tribulation.  In shot, the church is symbolically destroyed to due to not faithfully proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, being overrun with worldliness and no longer having any unity.  Please click on the video below for more information or study further at this link.
