Babylon harlotry: In Revelation 17-18, the Bible teaches that Babylon is a harlot. That is, Babylon commits spiritual whoredom. Simply stated, spiritual whoredom is the worship of other gods and idols. Additionally, Babylon is a symbol. It is a symbolic picture of the false Christian church (and parachurches). In particular, Babylon of Revelation 17-18 exists during the Great Tribulation. And, the Great Tribulation is that ‘little season’ just before the Last Day.
